How to Store Fresh Vegetables in Refrigerator

We always wonder why fresh fruits and vegetables spoil quickly before there is a possibility to eat them! Even though keep them in fridge.

Eat local grown foods, in season produce. Is the good idea to improve a food's lifespan. If you want to be eating non seasonal produce, you must know which fruits and vegetables spoil much quicker than others.

The most detrimental thing to do is seal foods in an air-tight plastic bags. So, you must store fresh vegetables in refrigerator without using plastic bags. Also to lengthen foods life-span, you should use cold temperatures (in refrigerator), to decelerate the process of respiration.

Because some fruits and vegetables ripen, they emits ethylene (tasteless, odorless, colorless gas)... Which can cause other nearby ethylene-sensitive produce to spoil more quickly.
To avoid this, ethylene-sensitive veggies and fruits must be separate from all types of products that release the ethylene.
